I stopped in early this afternoon and Ali was sitting up cross legged on her hospital bed looking completely normal. She is able to get up and walk without the nurses assisting her. She is eating solid food, the feeding tube was removed five days ago and she is ordering what she likes from the hospital menu. She’ll be home soon but be patient with her as it may be a while before she responds to your emails cards and calls.
Finally found the website with Ali’s updates today. Can you relay the message that I am sending positive thoughts her way? I was in the hospital 16 years ago to get Kearney into the world . We are thinking of her and wonder if she can have visitors or calls. If so, what is her room number? Which St. Al’s is she in? Is it the one near the freeway off Curtis?

That’s great news, thanks for the update.
Am so glad to hear of all these wonderful improvements in your recovery. You have truly made remarkable strides. It comes from having taken good care of yourself and from caring for others all your life. I do believe all of that is connected
It is also good to know that you can eat, and that you have an appetite. Soon you will be home and able to do your work and put all this behind you.
I know you long for that day.
I thank Brett for posting on this site and keeping all of us up to date. It is so reassuring.
So love and prayers and strength to you, Ali, I love you and I look forward to hearing from you whenever you are able. For now, take care if yourself, and let everyone else take care of you.
Love, Peni
So glad to hear you’re up and about and eating what you like and will be able to go home soon. YAY!
Oh, Ali, it was so wonderful to hear your voice on the phone; thank you so much for calling. I know that talk and all things are not easy now, but you are a strong and courageous person and you will get better rapidly.
I hope being at home is a happy space for you now, and that people are there to help you through this transition.
You have faced everything well; and it is so good to know that the nastiness is entirely gone and only healthy parts are left. You know how to work with those. You are good at that.
So rest and eat well and gather yourself. I will look forward to your being comfortable with communicating, and I know that you have many people who you need to contact. Take you own time.
Love to you my dear, dear friend,
Peni
Wishing you a wonderful, healthy 2012, Ali
GREAT TO READ THIS. Finally got my new laptop – three weeks after I ordered it and its up and going so I am back communicating. Left voicemals on your phone, thinking you were home. Anyway, this is great to hear. You were asleep when I visited, so will try to get by again if you are still there.

Didn’t want to send messages, I’m sure she has enough to respond to, and was depending on getting updates from here. Can you please post an update. Sending Ali lots of love, healing energy and prayers.
Happy New Year!
